Help To Make Life interesting…

…I am a big fan of W3Schools.org . It is the Internet education portal for the World Wide Web consortium that is responsible for defining standards or “reccomendations” for web development. This si the place I go to to learn about HTML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, XML, XLS, XHTML, .NET, and many other imortant web concepts. It is good for beginners and has lots of examples to show you how to implement a concept. The best feature, however, is their digital “sandbox” which allows you to write your own code and see how it wors without ever opening up another program or uploading something on the Internet.
This has been all well and good up until a few moments ago. I just found a new site that seems to have beaten W3Schools in presentation, friendliness, and comprehensiveness. DevX’s Project Cool (in the five minutes I’ve looked at it) has won me over, for the time being. I especially like how they incorporate the many elements of webdesign into one lesson, rather than breaking them up into separate lessons for HTML, CSS, and so on… If the site turns out to be crap I’ll let you know. Until then, all you budding webmasters out there should take some time to learn the basics of HTML and maybe CSS if you’re adventurous.
What could I possibly do with that knowledge?”
I’m glad you asked! All you have to do to get on your way to superstardom is join Blogger! It’s fast, free, easy, and rewarding. Having a blog takes all of the nitpicky details and really hard stuff away from webdesign (like paying for a host, uploading files, and building a templte from scratch) and allows you to focus on the two most important things: design and content.

Actually, not advertising, zealot. Speaking of which, you need to dump Dragid and get a Blogger Blog. You’ll thank me later!
