Sing a song, play a game, no, sing a song…

I finished a song I wrote for the girl. I am very pleased with it. I plan to do a very upscale recording of it over the summer. I can do it. I believe.
Want lyrics? Okay.
I’m like a beggar, who won the lottery
I was looking for water and I fell into the sea
Cause you are more than gold
Better than anything to me
And I shake my head sometimes and I wonder
How a pretty girl like you ever fell for meI was waiting for my one chance to come along
I didn’t know, I didn’t know love could be so strong
And all at once I knew I’d found her,
The only perfect girl that God had made
Like a castle in the air, nothing can compare
To the beauty that he gave herBut if everything was different I’d still love you
I’d still love you if you weren’t so beautiful
And I’d still melt in your arms, if your eyes weren’t shining stars
And I’d still lose my breath just thinking of youSome things don’t change, and some things always do
But one thing will stay the same, I’ll be right here with you
You are my treasure for the rest of my years
I’ll laugh with you, bleed on you, I’ll cry through the night with you
You are everything to meBut if everything was different I’d still love you
I’d still love you if you weren’t so beautiful
And I’d still melt in your arms, if your eyes weren’t shining stars
And I’d still lose my breath just thinking of you
Beyond that I’m having fun. I finished a promo for the Quake Summer schedule today. It feels good to be contributing to the station’s overall well-being. It’ll be easier to do during the school year when I’m actually at the station during my office hours. I can’t wait. I’ll keep coffee in the fridge and maybe even get a late, late, late night show. Woot.
Now I’ll probably go home and watch some Friends or something before my bedtime, or maybe write if I have the uh…hutzpah. Either way, it will be good. Keep it real.
